Opposition to a marriage
The right to marry is a fundamental right, protected by French and European texts : everyone, be they French or foreign, with or without regularized papers, has the right to marry on French territory.
Should a “marriage of convenience” be suspected, the Procureur de la de la République can oppose, or suspend, the marriage, or the validation of such a marriage that has occurred outside France.
The Network’s lawyers can appeal such an opposition through the Tribunal de Grande Instance..
A lawyer’s representation is mandatory for such procedures.
